A medium is anything used to create a work of art (paint, ink, clay, etc.)
Greenware is clay that has not yet been fired.
Craftmanship is the quality of the work from the individual.
Relief Printing is something.
A weaving loom is a loom where threads are woven together into something new.
Ceramic Coil Building is the process of using clay coils stacked on top of one another to make a new vessel with heighth and depth.
Warp threads are the threads that are vertical when one is weaving.
Plaigiarism is taking someone elses work and calling it your own.
The vanishing point is the point where the lines of a perspective drawing end.
A monotype is a type of printmaking where the image is drawn onto a smooth surface and stamped down onto another surface.
An artist who inspires me is named Jackson Polluck. He is inspiring because of the free style of his paintings. I like how he doesn't paint anything in particular he just paints everything everywhere. My favorite work of his is called "Number One". I like this painting because it is inbteresting to look at and no one can really recreate any of these fantastic paintings like he could have done.
Three coats of glaze need to be applied on ceramics before the piece is fired.
When labeling prints, it is important to remember that your initials go in the bottom right hand corner in pencil only.
I think that my greatest success this semester in art was thinking of a very big project that i could do. I always wanted to make something very large and very intricuit at the same time. I think that it was a success because i got alot done and now I know what I am capable of.
